  I have seen a few low reviews for this restaurant and keep thinking they must have been at a different restaurant than we went to. We love this place. It view on the bayou is beautiful, the waiter we had (both times we ate there) was so interesting and friendly. We thought the food, including the home-made chips and coleslaw, were outstanding. We ate the oyster basket, shrimp basket and a combination of the 2 on our trips there. Plus, the salad was so fresh and crisp. It is a locals place no doubt. The beer is in a bottle or can, but who cares. It was good. If you want pampered, bulk food at cheap prices, don't go there. If you want local flavors with a nice view and interesting staff with (the times we have been there) no wait, then this is the place for you. It is right behind the Oyster House, which has good food, but is a bulk food, crowded place. We prefer this little restaurant. Try it.

  This local dive is a great place to enjoy the beach atmosphere. It's small and intimate with friendly locals ever present. For a po' boy, there maybe no batter place outside of Louisiana, and the specialty drinks are both original and fantastic.

  Always a favorite place to go when we're anywhere nearby. The best poboy this side of New Orleans and great homemade chips on the side. Perfect for lunch and drinks. The beef debris poboy and "snake in the grass" top the list.
